Subtitled “Stuck”

The Monday before last, the cleaning lady was coming for our “move-in” cleaning. She is terrified of dogs, so we decided to pack them up and take them somewhere. We had been wanting to take them to the beach, so we opened up the map to look for a location that appeared suitably isolated.

Pacifico and Lime

An ice-cold Pacifico and a Mazatlan sunset. There truly is nothing finer in this world. There is something magical about our local brew, and no where else on Earth does it taste as good. We used to drink Pacifico in Fort Worth, where it arrived world weary from it's travels across the border. It was a very fine beer even there, but here, at home, it is excellent. Blinded by the Bite - Getting an Eye Exam and Glasses in Mazatlan

Recently, Sweet Tasha gave me the opportunity to investigate the quality of optometrists available here in Mazatlan. I went to Dr. Luis Ramon Ramirez at Galeria Optical located at 1664-A Camaron Sabalo, next door to Supermarket La Isla (GPS: 23 14.876N 106 27.253W) . E-mail Print PDF

Last Wednesday, my friend and alert blogger Nancy, who writes Countdown to Mexico, sent me an email that she had discovered a site that was using her content without permission. She had been looking at her site stats on Technorati and noticed a link she hadn't seen before. Boy was she surprised when she saw what was going on. She emailed me so I could keep an eye on my stats and see if I was having the same problem. I decided to visit the offending site and was incensed to discover that 25 of my posts had been stolen and posted there.

I'm Fine, Really

E-mail Print PDF

I got a disturbing call from a client in Texas the other day. I guess I should stay calls. The phone started to ring fairly early and just kept cycling between phones: home phone, cell phone, Vonage phone, repeat. We don't keep any phones in the bedroom, but all the windows were open, so I could hear all the ringing coming from Chuck's office directly above the bedroom. When I realized it wasn't going to stop – ever – I got up to find out who needed to talk to us so desperately.
