Good Rain!

E-mail Print PDF

I know I complain, so I thought I should mention some of the things I love about all the rain. The field across from the house is in full bloom, which means it is covered with thousands of butterflies in glorious shades of red, orange, yellow, and white. The temperatures have been low enough for cozy socks and soup. And I certainly have had the time to get some pleasure reading done. But the very best thing about the rain has been the sunsets. I took this picture just a few minutes ago from our terrace:

That is so totally worth getting wet.

The sunsets this time of year are TOTALLY the best!! We are staying out at Estrella this week and I wish I had a camera to take a picture of the one out there last night, it was breathtaking! Fire engine red!

And the sunsets last FOREVER. Not the actual setting. The sun itself disappears pretty fast. I think it's a weird tropical thing. But the colors...we get a constantly changing canvas for over an hour.

For anyone who is interested, I have finally updated the sunset gallery to include several of the recent sunsets. Gorgeous!
