Growing Basil
« on: November 01, 2009, 09:30:55 PM »
Fall is a great time to plant Basil in the garden, lemon Basil is our favorite but there are several local varieties, all excellent in mashed potatoes and salads. Basil is also excellent in ridding gardens of flies and also the virus and germs that they carry.

Locally known as albahaca, native basil can often be found growing in ditches along roads and trails in the area.
